Job Overview
At Texas Responsible Energy, Inc., are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer II The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties as a team of 3 - 4+ installers, and the maintenance and repair of solar systems as well. This role requires experience with installing solar systems for residential and/or commercial customers, and also requires an understanding of electrical wiring in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety protocols. The Solar Installer will work closely with electricians, project managers and other team members to ensure that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Dallas Fort-Worth (serves East Texas and Houston as well)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems, both residential and commercial.

Support the planning and implementation of Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) and Critical Load Panel (CLP) installations.

Learn to interpret blueprints, photovoltaic (PV) line drawings, and product manuals while adhering to NEC standards.

Help transport, assemble, and install solar equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Participate in DC and AC electrical runs, including work on rooftops, ladders, and confined spaces.

Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting system malfunctions under the guidance of senior electricians.

Maintain compliance with OSHA standards, NEC codes, and other regulatory requirements.

Help ensure job site cleanliness and timely project completion.
Qualifications
Experience: At least 1 year of solar installation experience, or apprentice electrician experience. (licensed electricians are eligible for higher pay).
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Skills: Understanding and interpreting of technical electrical drawings, bending EMT conduit, and using electrical trade tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds frequently; work on rooftops and in varying weather conditions.
Certifications: Working knowledge of OSHA standards and current NEC codes.
Reliable Transportation: Ability to get to and from the job site (projects may be located in East Texas - Tyler and surrounding areas, Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Upon applying, please designate areas you are able to work.
Compensation
$25.00- $40.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
Additional Benefits: Bonus opportunities, overtime pay, and mentorship from a commercial as well as residential electricians, and solar PV Installation professionals, helping each journeyman electrician gain experience with DC and AC wiring.
Schedule
Varies based on project size and complexity
Residential projects 1 - 5 days
Commercial projects 1 week - months
Notice of an upcoming project will be provided at least 3 - 5 business days prior to installation date
